NEW MODULE 1 AND 2 TESTS.
As from 27 April 2009, the DSA will introduce the new practical motorcycle test, which now consists of two parts.
Module 1 is the Specified Maneouvres. which are a series of set riding exercises to be completed within the safety of the Multi-Purpose Test Centre facility, taking about 25 minutes.
Module 2 is the Road Riding, which is the on-road element of the test, accompanied by the DSA examiner through a variety of road and traffic conditions and includes normal stops, hill and angle starts.
Each Module is subject to a separately booked test and candidates must pass the Module One Test before they can take the Module Two Test.
At Carls Motorcycle Training Training, we are properly prepared to deliver the training for the new test to you and have the right facilities to ensure that you can practise all the necessary set exercises which are now required for the Module One Test.
*Riders who chose to do a Intensive Direct Access Course or 125cc course, but do not pass Module One Test, will forfeit their Test Fee for Module Two, as they will not be eligible to take the Module Two Test within the amount of time left available on the course. The DSA states that there must be a wait of three clear working days before attempting the Module One Test for a second time. Nevertheless, they are entitled to continue their course and train on the final day, even though they will be unable to take the Module Two Test.
